Lance Jacobsen, Ph. D.
President
Lance Jacobsen graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. and a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering in 1998 and 2001. After graduation Dr. Jacobsen won a NRC post-doctoral fellowship award at the AFRL at Wright-Patterson AFB. At the completion of his postdoc, he joined Dr. Fred Billig at Pyrodyne, Inc. as the Technical Vice President.
On May 4th, 2006 Dr. Jacobsen formed GoHypersonic Incorporated to further contribute to the dream of hypersonic airbreathing flight and affordable space access.

Andrew Dwenger
Andy graduated from Wright State University with a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering in 2004 and 2008, respectively.
He worked under Dr. Lance Jacobsen's supervision while doing multiple co-ops at the AFRL on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base while pursuing his undergraduate degree. Following undergraduate graduation, he joined Dr. Jacobsen and Dr. Fred Billig at Pyrodyne, Incorporated as an aerospace engineer. He has been senior engineer with GoHypersonic Incorporated since the business was formed in 2006.

Travis Drayna
Travis graduated with a B.S. and M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology in 2001 and 2009, respectively.
Currently, Travis is completing his Ph.D. thesis entitled "Design and Optimization of Hypersonic Inward Turning Inlets."
Travis' primary research focuses on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and its applications to scramjet engine flowpaths and external vehicle surfaces. He typically works on coupling surface generation and grid generation methods with high level CFD analysis to enable the Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) of scramjet powered flight vehicles. Travis joined the GoHypersonic team in March of 2008 and works currently as a senior engineer. Travis also works closely with the Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Minnesota to stay current on the latest numerical methods hypersonic flow applications.

Kevin Park
Kevin graduated with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in June 2011. As an Engineering Research Co-Op, his work was primarily on multi-disciplinary automated design and optimization of gas-turbine components. Prior experience includes an additional Engineering Co-Op at CTL Aerospace Inc., also located in Cincinnati, where he was primarily responsible for updating process documentation for advanced composites manufacture. He has also served as an Exhibit Technician at the COSI Science Museum in Columbus.
Kevin joined GHI in August 2011. His primary duties include design tool development.

Charles Cowart
Charles retired from the U.S. Air Force in August 2001 after serving 20 years primarily as a Fuels Technician and Accounting/Administration Supervisor. He also served as an Assistant Supervisor of Personnel Operations. His tours of duty includes Altus AFB Oklahoma, Kunsan AB South Korea, Seymour Johnson AFB North Carolina [Temporary Duty - Dhahran AB Saudi Arabia], RAF Mildenhall England, and Wright Patterson AFB Ohio. Major Awards includes the 443rd Supply Squadron Fuels Technician of the Year for 1987 and the Air Combat Command Professional Provider of the Year for 1992.
After retiring from military service, Charles joined GoHypersonic Inc. in July 2007, where his primary duty was to establish a Technical Reference Library. This library also includes those references inherited from Dr. Fred S. Billig. Since inception, and including newly acquired documents, the Library has grown to over 5700 technical references and continues to grow. Both hard copy and electronic formats are utilized.
